Rick simpson oil

What is RSO?

RSO stands for Rick Simpson Oil, named after its inventor and longtime medical marijuana activist. Rick originally created the oil to cure his own cancer and has since dedicated his life to spreading the truth about this plant medicine. Today many companies utilize his methods in their own facilities. Here at EVEN, we are proud to make high-quality RSO for our patients. We offer a 1:1 THC:CBD RSO, a high THC RSO, and a high CBD RSO.

How do I dose RSO?

We recommend consumers use RSO daily with a dose the size of a grain of rice. Typically patients like to disperse the RSO on their finger and then rub their finger under their tongue. This allows the cannabis to start working sublingually until it hits your digestive tract. For medical patients with chronic disease who need a more aggressive treatment plan, see question "What’s the Rick Simpson Method?"

What is the Rick Simpson Method?

Many people take RSO with their vitamins as part of their daily regime. Although some do not have serious health conditions, they still take RSO daily to improve their quality of life. A gram of RSO will usually last this type of user about a month or two, depending on dosage size. RSO also helps treat patients with all types of major diseases, including, but not limited to, AIDS/HIV, arthritis, multiple sclerosis, diabetes, leukemia, Crohn’s disease, depression, osteoporosis, psoriasis, insomnia, glaucoma, asthma, burns, migraines, regulation of body weight, and chronic pain.

I cannot get the RSO out of the syringe. What can I do?

Because of the nature of the oil, RSO is naturally very thick, if you have a viscous RSO then something is wrong. We are in the process of creating videos and educational cards to assist with patients using the product. One suggestion is to turn your kitchen sink on- let the water get warm- hold the capped syringe under the warm water for about 15-20 seconds. This should make dosing with a syringe easier for you. If you feel the oil is coming out too fast because you got it too warm, you can pull the syringe back. If this does not work, try running the syringe under warm water for a minute. Another, more involved, option is making your own RSO capsules. See question, “How do I make capsules?”

Is it the same as CBD oil?

No. Most Rick Simpson oil does have THC in it. RSO refers to the extraction method used to withdraw the medicine from the cannabis plant. This does not talk about medicinal qualities. RSO can be found to be high-THC, 1:1 THC:CBD, or high-CBD.

Why should I take RSO daily?

RSO helps treat patients with all types of major diseases, including, but not limited to, AIDS/HIV, arthritis, multiple sclerosis, diabetes, leukemia, Crohn’s disease, depression, osteoporosis, psoriasis, insomnia, glaucoma, asthma, burns, migraines, regulation of body weight, and chronic pain.
However, many people take RSO as a vitamin to promote health. Although these people do not have serious health conditions, they still take RSO consistently to improve their quality of life. A gram of RSO will usually last this type of user about a month or two, depending on dosage size.
When you add RSO into your consumption schedule, your body already has a healthy dose of THC and CBD so anything you choose to consume on top of that will be elevated throughout the day.

What does RSO taste like?

The taste of RSO will be earthy and bitter, some patients find it unpleasant and would prefer swallowing the oil directly or eating it with other foods to mask the taste. Some favorite foods are bananas, crackers, and chocolate. However, some patients enjoy this taste! Simply depends on personal preference.

How is EVEN RSO made?

Marijuana plant matter is soaked in an alcohol solution and stirred multiple times throughout soak time. After the matter is done soaking, the liquid is strained through a filter to separate the plant matter from the solvent oil mix. Then the alcohol is boiled out of the mixture leaving only the medicinal plant qualities. The oil is then baked in an oven in order to finalize the decarboxylation and finish activating the THC making the oil psychoactive. After production is complete, our packaging team takes over and individually hand-measures each gram of RSO.

How do I make RSO capsules?

Empty all the contents of the syringe into a microwave safe container, mix the RSO with some coconut oil or MCT oil- this will make the solution quite viscous and easier to add into the capsules. Both Amazon and CVS sell dosing syringes so you can measure out how much RSO to add to the capsule.

What are possible side effects of RSO?

Drowsiness is the number one reported side effect of RSO. This is because of it's high potency effect. However, it is important to note, that if you are using RSO for treatment of a major disease please remember sleep and rest are an integral part of the healing process. Remember to listen to and honor your body in order for it to function most effectively.

Will RSO get me high?

Depending on your tolerance level, size of dosing, and type of RSO, maybe, you may feel the psychoactive affects of THC. However if you do not like the feeling of THC, you can opt for a high-CBD RSO, which has more of the non-psychoactive cannabinoid CBD.
